Licenciado em Belas-Artes – Escultura pela Faculdade de Belas-Artes da Universidade do Porto, desenvolve uma prática artística multidisciplinar que cruza escultura, instalação, pintura e linguagens associadas à cultura visual contemporânea. O seu trabalho explora temas como memória, identidade, poder, conflito e transformação cultural, articulando referências clássicas e contemporâneas com imaginários bélicos, industriais e tecnológicos. Através de uma linguagem visual marcada pela tensão entre ornamentação e violência, património e futuro, FRED constrói objetos e ambientes onde a estética funciona simultaneamente como sedução e mecanismo crítico.
Graduated in Fine Arts – Sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, he develops a multidisciplinary artistic practice that intersects sculpture, installation, painting, and languages associated with contemporary visual culture.His work explores themes such as memory, identity, power, conflict, and cultural transformation, articulating classical and contemporary references with military, industrial, and technological imaginaries. Through a visual language marked by the tension between ornamentation and violence, heritage and future, FRED constructs objects and environments in which aesthetics function simultaneously as seduction and critical mechanism.

Atlas Lusitano é uma reflexão visual sobre a identidade portuguesa, memória e transformação cultural no contexto contemporâneo. Através da esculturas, e da pintura, o projeto cruza várias referências da tradição lusitana com imaginários bélicos e estruturas de poder, criando um território simbólico onde passado e futuro coexistem em permanente tensão, questionando o lugar de Portugal no contexto geo-político atual.
Atlas Lusitano is a visual reflection on Portuguese identity, memory, and cultural transformation within the contemporary context. Through sculpture and painting, the project brings together references from Portuguese heritage with military imaginaries and structures of power, creating a symbolic territory where past and future coexist in constant tension, questioning Portugal's place within the current geopolitical landscape.

Entre referências bélicas, imaginário popular e elementos da tradição cultural, as obras criam um território ambíguo onde a sedução estética convive com a ameaça, questionando a normalização do conflito e a romantização da guerra na cultura contemporânea.
Once Weapon a Time explores how violence is transformed into narrative, symbol, and collective memory. Through military references, popular imagery, and elements of cultural tradition, the works create an ambiguous territory where aesthetic seduction coexists with threat, questioning the normalization of conflict and the romanticization of war in contemporary culture.
